LOCATION HISTORY:

The armory sits on what was once the location of a girls college. The college burned down and was never rebuilt. Witness reports are of hearing voices (women's laughter), doors opening and closing by themselves, hearing a ball being bounced in the auditorium. One witness reports that in the basement footsteps were heard walking in the standing water and upon investigation the water could actually be seen moving with each step. Due to the acoustics in this location, it turned into mainly an EVP collection site.

HISTORICAL RESEARCH IS UNDERWAY AS OF 5-2006

1929 Armory

Preliminary Investigation report:

11/16/01 8:00p.m. - Preliminary

During the walk through we entered two areas that seemed to have unexplained drafts and cold spots. One was the basement and the other was an upstairs office. Upon investigation there were no signs of where a draft would originate from, windows were in tact and the air unit was disabled. Temperature readings did not drastically drop in either of these rooms. The office area was actually warmer than the previously investigated room by one degree, and the basement only dropped one degree, although it was agreed upon by every member of the party that these areas definitely felt much colder than the other areas investigated. In comparison to other areas, both rooms did have a considerable increase in humidity, a five degree increase in the basement and a four degree increase in the office.

Baiting techniques included audio recordings of period music and a boxing match. The music seemed to invoke the most reaction. Upon analyzing audio recordings a mans voice can be heard during the music in the basement and a woman's voice in the upstairs hall.

Numerous photos appear to show orbs, one in particular is very bright and appears to glow. Further investigation is required to rule out any natural causes.

Due to the events on September 11th, we have not been able to gain access to the armory. This page will be updated as soon as another investigation is scheduled.

EVP & SSP COLLECTED DURING THE INVESTIGATION:

  • Female Baiting Laugh -This EVP was collected at the Armory during one of many Audio Baiting Sessions. You will hear 1930's music playing in the background, then you will hear the female "laugh".

  • Yes I Would - This EVP was collected during an Audio Baiting Session, we were playing period music, the entity is giving a great example of reaction experimentation during audio baiting.

  • It's Kind of Ya - This EVP is a classic responsive reaction. The female entity seemed to be please to have us visiting.

  • I'll try to kick the ball - This statement is another great example of responsive reaction EVP.
It is obvious that he has intentions of kicking the ball. For the record, the ball was not moved. (this time around).

  • Blue Dot - This is a Random EVP, it is out of context with anything the team was discussing at the time. Some random EVP are signs of residual entity's.
Note: Blue Dot is the Military Code word for Naval Police.

  • Ellison - This EVP was collected through a daytime walk through of the Armory.
A few moments earlier, the question "What is your name" was asked. It took some time for the response, but it a great example of daytime EVP, you don't have to be in the dark to collect EVP.

  • Just leave me alone - This EVP is another example of responsive reaction. The entire time we were in this location, we assumed the person in the room was a male. Its clear she was annoyed with our questions. This is a faint EVP, so you may need to increase your volume to hear it.

  • Buy Bonds - Another random EVP, we have yet to collect this voice again.
Because the comment is out of context with conversations, we are convinced this may be one of the many residual ghosts that are at this location.

  • I am so close.... - This EVP is simply chilling. There was only one female in the location at the time this EVP was collected. This EVP is the result of the male entity that resides in the Armory Basement.

  • Here are two EVP, they are the same EVP, but were recorded on two separate devices.
Nothing #1 - Was recorded with a standard Optimus tape recorder with internal microphone. You will hear the investigator ask what he sees, you will hear the reply "Nothing".
Nothing #2 Was recorded on the Sony Night Shot video Camera. The camera was approximately 5 feet away from the Optimus tape recorder. The Night Shots version is much clearer, we feel the male entity was closer to the video camera at the time.
Note: We had a strobe light on for about 5 min, you can hear the clicking of the light on the Night Shot's version of the EVP.
