USS Constellation, Baltimore Maryland

Americas Ghost Hunters

In Spring of 2003 Tonya and Tammy of GHOULI was invited to embark on a once in a lifetime opportunity to investigate the rumored to be haunted USS Constellation in Baltimore Maryland. The trip was sponsored by The Learning Channel (TLC) and the accepted the challenge of collecting EVP from this most legendary battle ship.

The rumors of the haunting are varied from person to person. Speaking with the crew, we honestly did not find many reports of “ghost” sightings. We were able to collect one EVP during our investigation, but we have ruled it out because of the noise contamination that was on the very active harbor, during the Memorial Day weekend. We did witness a few eerie things, including what sounded like footsteps running up the lower deck stairs to the above floor. Otherwise, our adventure like many, turned out to not be as hauntingly excitable as we hoped it to be.

On the broadcast, (Americas Ghost Hunters) we were not able to report any paranormal phenomena, as we would have like to. In our opinion, the USS Constellation is nothing but a brilliantly preserved piece of history and we are very grateful to have been able to investigate such a location. Reading the history, and listening to the ships crew, one would think a ship like that would be crawling with ghostly tales and reports. Being the oldest battleship in existence (preserved) over time, one would have to think that at least a few people had perished there, to back up the handful of paranormal claims that made the USS Constellation a must see on Baltimore Harbors many “haunted tours”.

After the filming, we were able to investigate the ship thoroughly and found nothing out of the ordinary, or anything to be “afraid” of, when it comes to ghosts.

We tried, and in this field, we all know, maybe the “ghosts” just was not willing to participate with us that evening… maybe they were hiding, maybe they were not even there?

We do want to thank GRB Entertainment(c)  and TLC for allowing us to investigate such a magnificent piece of history. That is one investigation that we will never forget and the film crew was out of this world and a lot of fun, we had such a great time, ghosts or no ghosts, we are blessed to be able to have taken that journey to the East Coast and the USS Constellation.  – Thacker ©
